This icon is VERY well drawn. There are, however, a few mistakes. Firstly, the platter is not circular, and in fact has several chunks cut out of it; as if it were merely a cover. Yet the drive head rides on top of it, so it must be a platter.
Secondly, your IDE connector is missing two pins. It should only be missing one pin: that immediately to the right of your rightmost missing pin.
I used a small photo to help me to create this but it's really probable that I made mistakes and oversights! That's quite old for me now, the quality satisfies me not anymore even if I spend a lot of time on this
Actually, yes. I'm a qualified computer expert, and have seen many dozens of hard drives. I have never, thus far, seen one missing two pins, or one with chunks cut out of the platters. Suffice it to say, any such drives would immediately end up in the bin, as they would fail to operate.
But of course, after all this time I would not expect you to correct the mistakes
